D1 Oils Plc26 May 2006 Board Appointment D1 Oils Announces New Group Finance Director D1 Oils plc (D1), the UK-based global producer of biodiesel, today announces theappointment of Richard Gudgeon, 35, as Group Finance Director and CompanySecretary. Richard will join the Board of Directors of D1 with immediate effect Richard joined D1 in September 2005 as Group Financial Controller from MagnetLimited, the kitchen group. He was appointed Acting Group Finance Director andCompany Secretary in January 2006. Before joining D1 Richard was Magnet's GroupFinancial Controller with responsibility for group accounting and reporting.Richard qualified as a chartered management accountant in 1996, and joinedMagnet that year from National Grid. On 28 March 2006, the Board granted Richard 100,372 options over Ordinary Sharesat an exercise price of £2.64 per Ordinary Share. These options have beengranted under the D1 Oils Share Option Plan, vest for a period of three yearsfrom grant and expire in 2015. "I am very pleased that Richard has been appointed Group Finance Director," saidElliott Mannis, Chief Executive Officer of D1. "He has done an excellent jobsince joining D1 and he brings strong commercial experience that will be invaluable as we continue to grow our agronomy, refining and tradingoperations."
