Umeco plc
Board appointment
Umeco plc, an international provider of supply chain and advanced composite materials primarily to the aerospace & defence industries, announces that Andrew Moss, currently Chief Executive of Umeco Composites, has been appointed to the Board in the new Group role of Chief Operating Officer.
In his new role, Andrew will have responsibility for Group operating performance and will chair the Boards of Umeco's subsidiary companies.
Following on from this appointment, certain changes are being made to the operational management structure of the Group's two divisions. Umeco Composites will be managed through three business units: Process Materials (Aerovac, Richmond, Med-Lab), Structural Materials (ACG, GRPMS), and J D Lincoln. Umeco Supply Chain will continue to be managed through three business units: Pattonair Europe, Pattonair North America, and Pattonair UK & Asia. The senior management of each of these six business units will report directly to Andrew Moss. Jason Crabtree has relinquished his role as Chief Executive of Umeco Supply Chain and will leave the Group.
Brian McGowan, Chairman of Umeco plc, said:
"I am delighted to welcome Andrew Moss to the Board in this new role. He has been instrumental in the development of Umeco Composites into the very significant and successful business it is today.
"Following the strategic steps taken last year to refocus the Group around the two high growth businesses of Composites and Supply Chain, which Jason Crabtree leaves in excellent strategic and financial shape, Andrew is exactly the right person now to drive forward our operational performance across both these divisions.
"His appointment as Chief Operating Officer will allow our Chief Executive, Clive Snowdon to focus more of his time on Umeco's strategic development, ensuring that we take full advantage of the many and substantial opportunities that we see ahead of us. "
There are no additional details relating to Andrew Moss' appointment that are required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
