Board Appointment

Micro Focus International plc ("Micro Focus"; LSE MCRO.L), the international software product group, announces the appointment of Amanda Brown as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 July 2016.

Mrs Brown has more than 20 years of international Human Resources experience across a variety of industries, managing organisations and leadership teams through periods of significant change. She is currently Group Human Resources Director at Hiscox Ltd, a FTSE 250 business and specialist insurer with offices in 14 countries. Prior to Hiscox, Mrs Brown held a number of Human Resources leadership roles at Whitbread plc from 1998-2006, including Group Compensation and Benefits Director and, most recently as Director of Organisation & Learning, leading a major restructuring initiative. Prior to her roles at Whitbread, Mrs Brown spent five years at PepsiCo, after starting her Human Resources career at Mars.

Having joined Hiscox Ltd in October 2006, Mrs Brown is responsible for Human Resources across the company, and is a member of the Hiscox Executive Committee.

Mrs Brown holds no other Board positions. There are no other details to be disclosed in respect of the requirements of paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the UK Financial Services Authority.
