Appointment of Sushovan Hussain to the Monitise plc Board
Monitise plc (LSE: MONI.L), the leading global Mobile Money solutions provider, announces the appointment of Sushovan Hussain to the Board as Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 January 2011.
Sushovan, a qualified accountant, has served as Chief Financial Officer of Autonomy Corporation plc, a constituent of the FTSE 100, since June 2001 and brings with him a wealth of listed company experience as well as a strong track record in growing a technology business. Prior to joining Autonomy, Sushovan worked for LASMO plc, one of the world's largest independent oil and gas exploration companies, where he held a number of senior international financial positions, including a focus on acquisitions and divestments.
Duncan McIntyre, Chairman, said: "I am delighted that Sushovan will be joining our Board, he brings significant experience and an in-depth understanding of the technology sector which will benefit us tremendously as we continue to grow the business."
Mr Sushovan Hussain, aged 46, is currently a director of Autonomy Corporation plc and has been a director of OpenV China Holdings Company during the last 5 years. There are no further disclosures required pursuant to Schedule 2, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies in respect of the appointment.
