Board Appointment

Alison Goligher, OBE, appointed Meggitt non-executive director

Meggitt PLC, a leading international company specialising in high performance components and sub-systems for the aerospace, defence and energy markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alison Goligher as non-executive director with effect from 30 October 2014.

Alison, a British national, has spent her career in the energy sector in a wide range of functional and operational roles. After 18 years at Schlumberger, a leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to oil and gas customers worldwide, she embarked on a career with Royal Dutch Shell from 2006. In 2013, she became Executive Vice President of the tight/shale oil and gas activities within its Upstream International Division. 

Alison has no other non-executive positions.

At the same time, her technology management expertise and experience running a wide range of functions within globally significant corporations will benefit the group as a whole."

Meggitt PLC confirms that there are no further details to disclose under paragraph 9.6.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules in relation to Alison Goligher.
