BOARD APPOINTMENT
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
WH Smith PLC today announces the appointment of Walker Boyd as a Non-Executive Director from 1 February 2010.
Walker has substantial retail expertise both in the UK and the USA. He is currently Group Finance Director at Signet Jewelers Limited (previously Signet Group Plc) and has held this position since 1995.
WHSmith's Chairman, Robert Walker said: "We are delighted to welcome Walker Boyd back to WHSmith. With his extensive retail and finance experience, Walker will be a valuable member of the Board".
