Burren Energy PLC1 April 2005 1 April 2005 PRESS RELEASE BOARD APPOINTMENT Burren Energy Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Keith Henry as anon-executive director of the Company with immediate effect. Mr. Henry (59) is also a non-executive director of Emerald Energy PLC, and ofPetroleum Geo-Services ASA. From 2000 to 2002, he was Chief Executive ofKvaerner Engineering and Construction Limited. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1999,he held the position of Chief Executive with National Power Plc and until 1995he was Chief Executive of Brown & Root Ltd. Mr. Henry also held the position ofnon-executive director of Enterprise Oil plc from 1995 until its takeover byShell in 2002, and has over 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
