Board Appointment

1 August 2014 Mary McDowell joins the Board of UBM plc UBM plc announces that Mary McDowell will join the Board as a non-executivedirector, and as a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committees, on1 August 2014. A US national, Mary has experience running both enterprise and consumerdivisions in multi-national companies in the technology industry. From 2004 to2012 she worked at Nokia, the global telecommunications and mobile phoneproducer, most recently as Executive Vice President in charge of Nokia's MobilePhones unit. Mary is Independent Director and Chair of the Compensation / HR Committee atAutodesk, a US-based multi-national corporation which develops software for thearchitecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media and entertainmentindustries. Before joining Nokia, Mary served 17 years at HP-Compaq, after joining as asystems engineer in 1986. Dame Helen Alexander, Chairman of UBM plc, said:- "I am delighted to welcome Mary to UBM.
