Allied Gold Limited05 February 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 05 February 2007 ALLIED GOLD LIMITED Appointment of Director - Mr Grant Brock Further the the announcement of 2 February 2007, the Board of Allied GoldLimited (Allied) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Grant Brock as anExecutive Director of the Company. The appointment as a Director follows Mr Brock's appointment as Chief OperatingOfficer (COO) in October 2006. Mr Brock will remain in his role as COO where heis leading the Allied team in the construction and commissioning of the SimberiGold Project in Papua New Guinea, which has made significant progress over thepast 3 months. Mr Brock, 57, a mining engineer with extensive experience in the miningindustry, has held executive management positions in the construction,development and operation of gold, base metal and industrial minerals mines. He has also had corporate experience in acquisitions and project developmentwhich will assist with the long term growth of Allied Gold and the developmentof new projects for the company. His involvement has strengthened the Alliedteam as it aims to facilitate the timely construction and successfulcommissioning of the Simberi project. Mr Brock is not presently a Director of any other Company, nor has he been aDirector of any other Company within the last five years. Mr Brock does not ownany ordinary shares in the Company and so has no percentage holding in theCompany's issued share capital.
