JSC "Halyk Bank" awarded based on results of the "Best Annual Reports 2011" contest

JSC "Halyk Bank" ("the Bank") was given the Diploma of winner in the "Best annual report in financial sector" nomination based on results of the "Best Annual Reports 2011" II contest of annual reports organized by the Rating Agency "Expert RA Kazakhstan".

The Diploma was given to Mr. Samat Sarbassov, Corporate Secretary of the Bank at the "Annual reports: experience of leaders and new standards" I Practical Conference held in Almaty.

In this regard, Mr. Dauren Karabayev, Deputy CEO responsible for international activities of the Bank thanked the expert community for the award and noted: "We are very pleased to receive this award as the annual report of Halyk Bank is prepared also in accordance with requirements of the London Stock Exchange where global depositary receipts of the Bank are listed and traded. This is the result of work of big team of the Bank. The annual report gives the most transparent and balanced overview of Halyk Group's activities. Any report, including financial report, forges ahead: the structure, presentation, design is improving. In this connection we are planning further development and improvement of this document. I think we will see many interesting things in the future."

The main purpose of past event with more than 80 participants, representatives of expert community, including local companies and mass media, was discussions of new trends in impact of annual reports on opinions of shareholders, investors and analysts, improvement of quality of annual reports of companies in Kazakhstan by presenting achievements in this area and attracting attention of business to the problem of preparation and promotion of annual reports.

In total, 27 annual reports participated in this contest.

In November 2012 Halyk Bank was awarded by "Expert-100-Kazakhstan" in "Most effective bank in Kazakhstan" nomination based on results of the rating of the country's largest companies for 2011.
