Home Member State Under the Transparency Directive
In accordance with the FSA Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rule 6.4.2R, each of:
• The Bear Stearns Companies LLC (formerly known as The Bear Stearns Companies Inc.), with its registered office at Corporation Trust Center, 1209 Orange Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19801, U.S.A. ("BSC");
• Bear Stearns Bank plc, with its registered office at Block 8, Harcourt Centre, Floor 3, Charlotte Way, Dublin 2 Ireland ("BSB"); and
• Bear Stearns Global Asset Holdings, Ltd., with its registered office at P.O. Box 309GT, Ugland House, South Church Street, George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, British West Indies ("BSGAH"),
announces that it has, as of the date hereof, selected the United Kingdom as its home Member State pursuant to Article 2.1(i)(i) (in the case of BSC and BSGAH) or Article 2.1(i)(ii) (in the case of BSB) of the Transparency Directive (Directive 2004/109/EC).
