BBA AVIATION ANNOUNCES MICHAEL HARPER'S RETIREMENT AS CHAIRMAN WITH SIR NIGEL RUDD TO JOIN THE BOARD AS CHAIRMAN DESIGNATE

BBA Aviation plc announces that the current Non-Executive Chairman, Michael Harper, will retire from the Board at the end of the Annual General Meeting in May 2014.

Michael was appointed to the Board of the then BBA Group as a non-executive director in February 2005 and became Non-Executive Chairman in June 2007. As interim CEO of BBA Group, he oversaw the demerger in 2006, following which it was renamed BBA Aviation.

Sir Nigel Rudd will join the Board of BBA Aviation as a non-executive director and Deputy Chairman on 1st December 2013 and it is intended that he will succeed Michael Harper as Chairman with effect from the Annual General Meeting in May 2014, following a transition period.

Sir Nigel Rudd is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Heathrow Airport Holdings Ltd, Invensys plc and The Business Growth Fund. He is a Non-Executive Director of Sappi Limited.
