Base Resources Limited (ASX & AIM: BSE) wishes to advise that Michael Anderson has resigned as a Director of the company with effect from 31 August 2017.

Mr Anderson’s departure comes amidst the Board’s broader succession planning, which includes its stated objective of achieving increased Board independence and diversity. Pursuant to the company’s Board Charter, Mr Anderson, as nominee of major shareholder Taurus Funds Management, was considered non-independent. 

The Board would like to thank Mr Anderson for his considerable input and insight since being appointed in 2011, and the role he played in guiding the company through a transformational period that included the successful funding, development and now steady-state operation of the company’s flagship Kwale project in Kenya.
