Cluff Gold PLC18 January 2006 18 January 2005 CLUFF GOLD PLC Baomahun gold project, Sierra Leone - Follow up core drilling resumes at the Baomahun Gold Project Cluff Gold Plc ("Cluff" or "the Company") today announces the recommencement ofcore drilling at the Baomahun Gold Project in Sierra Leone. Five holes,totalling 800 metres, have been initially programmed in order to investigate thenorthern mineral extensions of the Central and Western Zones. This is a followup to the good intersections in holes 25 (32m @ 3.76 g/t Au) and 27 (18.1m @3.05 g/t Au), as announced in October 2005, which demonstrated that the Centraland Western Zones are both wider and higher grade further to the north and atdepth. Assay results from this drilling are expected in February 2006. In addition, a programme of trenching is currently underway to investigate thecoincident geophysical and gold-in-soil anomalies in the prospective corridoralong the banded iron formation (''BIF'') marker horizon. Results from thetrenching would be used to programme further drilling during the second quarterof 2006.
