Bank Muscat obtains Islamic Banking Window License

The Bank is pleased to inform the market that it has obtained its Islamic Banking Window license from the Central Bank of Oman. The window will operate under the "Meethaq Islamic Banking" brand and will offer the full suite of regulated Islamic banking products. The Bank has invested in staff, systems and controls to ensure our proposition is delivered in a professional, segregated and fully compliant manner. The "Meethaq Islamic Banking" window, plans to open seven branches this year, the first of which will be in Ghubra, Muscat where an opening will take place on January 14, 2013.
