16 October 2007 GEONG International Limited ("GEONG" or "the Company") Win Banking & Finance Contractsworth US$1,274,000
GEONG International Limited (AIM: GNG), the AIM listed, Beijing based provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software and solutions, today announces that it has signed five contracts in the fast growing Chinese banking and finance sector worth US$1,274,000.
All five contracts are to provide solutions based upon GEONG's PortalAgeTM Content Management System and infrastructure and have been replicated from those already in use by GEONG's existing banking and finance clients, which include China's top five banks and 12 of the top 20 securities companies.
Banking Industry Contracts - US$551,000
* Bank of Shanghai
GEONG are developing an Employee Information Portal (EIP), based on
PortalAgeTM, which will help improve collaboration and information sharing
amongst the Bank of Shanghai's 1,000+ employees and provide the bank with
additional risk management safeguards and functionality. The Bank of Shanghai
is the second largest city and commercial bank in China.
* Bank of Changsha
As well as providing an EIP to allow the Bank of Changsha's 500 employees to
collaborate and share information more efficiently, GEONG are integrating more
than 10 pre-existing enterprise applications, including the banks Management
Information System, into one ECM solution.
Securities Industry - US$723,000
* Haitong Securities
GEONG are providing Haitong Securities with a cutting edge online sales system
which will allow Haitong to fulfil the full sales cycle of all of its financial
products, including Bonds, Funds and Equities, via a secure web based portal.
* Debang Securities
By replicating systems successfully delivered to China's top three investment
banks, GEONG are providing Debang Securities with an "Investment Banking
Project Management System".
* China Bond Company
Having successfully delivered an enterprise portal to China Bond in Phase I,
GEONG are developing an e-Service Portal based upon an existing PortalAgeTM
infrastructure to help China Bond improve their service levels via a secure web
based portal.
