Based on the award-winning design of the AmiNET series of STBs, the AmiNET125 isa stylish multi-codec STB for IPTV, Video On Demand (VOD) and Internet TVapplications. The AmiNET125 enables two different TV delivery methods: Internet TV - The AmiNET125 brings Internet TV from the PC to TV using WindowsMedia 9 and the Opera internet browser. This opens up a world of niche or 'longtail' content. The STB plays streams directly from standard Window Media serversand supports an expanding range of features including WMDRM 10 and Orb Networks'MyCast software (the world's first integration of the Orb technology in an IPSTB). Telco TV - IPTV and Video on Demand (VoD) applications are hosted on a flexible,reliable platform, allowing for the development of new services with thepotential to increase subscriber revenue. The AmiNET125 enables additionalservices such as video conferencing, gaming and VoIP, and its adaptive DSP-basedcodec allows for the addition of future streaming formats. The AmiNET125 was thefirst STB to integrate the AVS codec for the Chinese IPTV market.
