As required by the UKLA Listing Rules*, BG Group plc (the "Company") today announces that non-executive director Mark Seligman will be taking over from Lord Sharman as chairman of the Company's Audit Committee with effect from 1 December 2010.

Lord Sharman will stay on as a member of the Audit Committee. ‪

Mark Seligman was appointed as a non-executive director of the Company on

3 December 2009 and joined the Audit Committee on 2 February 2010.
