Collagen Solutions attends AAOS and ORS Meetings in San Diego

Support for Brain Awareness Week 13-19 March

Collagen Solutions plc (AIM: COS), the developer and manufacturer of medical grade collagen components for use in regenerative medicine, medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics will be attending two important meetings for orthopaedic surgeons and researchers in orthopaedics which run consecutively 14-22 March 2017 at the San Diego Convention Center.

The annual meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) is the world's largest meeting of orthopaedic surgeons and allied health professionals, drawing more than 30,000 participants and device manufacturers. Following this meeting, Collagen Solutions will exhibit on Stand 424 at the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) Annual Meeting. Between the two consecutive conferences, members of the Collagen Solutions management with have the opportunity to meet key opinion leaders and researchers who are introducing new products to the orthopaedics market and developing novel technologies that will transform the world of regenerative medicine in the coming years.

In addition to the attendance at the above two conferences, Collagen Solutions is supporting "Brain Awareness Week" (13th-19th March 2017), a global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. In conjunction with this campaign, Collagen Solutions will be highlighting their collaboration with CÚRAM, Centre for Research in Medical Devices, working on the BrainMatTrain project to develop novel, biomaterial-based therapies for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The Horizon 2020 funded research has the potential to dramatically improve the quality of life of Parkinson's patients, as highlighted in the film Feats of Modest Valour.
