AUSTRALIAN TAX OFFICE ("ATO") ISSUES CLASS RULING ON ANZON AUSTRALIA LIMITED TRANSACTION
ROC advises that the ATO has issued Class Ruling CR 2009/31 ("Class Ruling").
The Class Ruling applies to certain Australian resident ordinary shareholders of Anzon Australia Pty Limited (formerly Anzon Australia Limited) ("AZA") who disposed of shares in AZA to ROC as described in the Class Ruling. The Class Ruling confirms the availability of partial scrip for scrip capital gains tax roll-over relief for eligible AZA shareholders who are tax resident in Australia.
