Trans-Siberian Gold plc
Asacha project update
London: 30 August 2011 - Trans-Siberian Gold plc ("TSG" or "the Company") (TSG.L) reports on further progress in the commissioning of the Asacha gold plant.
During August the Company conducted mechanical checks and hydraulic tests of the plant equipment and piping and undertook trial operations using waste rock. This process took more time than had been expected due to the need to address a number of minor technical problems, mainly relating to the adjustment and fine tuning of new equipment.
TSG now expects to start trial processing of low grade ore during the first week of September. Provided that the results of these tests do not indicate the need for major adjustments to the plant, gold production is now expected to commence in the second half of September.
