GRUPO CLARIN S.A.
Artes Gráficas Rioplatense ceased to operate its printing facilities
On 18 January 2017, Grupo Clarín S.A. (the "Company") informed the Argentine Securities Commission and the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange that Artes Gráficas Rioplatense S.A. ("AGR") -a subsidiary indirectly controlled by the Company- ceased to operate its printing facilities located in the neighbourhood of Pompeya, City of Buenos Aires (the "Pompeya Facility"). The close-down of the Pompeya Facility is due to the strong reorganization that the commercial printing sector is undergoing, the adoption of new technologies, the changes in marketing strategies and the changes in consumer behaviours.
The decision made by AGR seeks to preserve the financial health and the jobs of the rest of its industrial facilities, allowing it to focus on those activities that can ensure a sustainable model in the future.
