Approval of Director's Appointment Qualification

References are made to the notice of the EGM (the "Notice") of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (the "Company" or "CPIC") dated 11 August 2025 and the announcement dated 29 August 2025 on poll results for the EGM of the Company. Capitalised terms used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Notice unless otherwise specified. The Company elected Mr. WONG Hin Wing as an independent non-executive director of the Company at the EGM held on 29 August 2025, with a term of office until the expiry of the 10th Board of Directors of the Company, and his appointment qualification is subject to the approval by the regulatory authorities.

The Company is pleased to announce that the Company has recently received the "Approval of Appointment Qualification of WONG Hin Wing as an Independent Director of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd." (Jin Fu [2026] No. 43) issued by the National Financial Regulatory Administration (the "NFRA"). The NFRA has approved the appointment qualification of Mr. WONG Hin Wing as an independent director of the Company. The term of office of Mr. WONG Hin Wing as an independent director of the Company became effective on 22 January 2026. Please refer to the Notice for the biographical details of Mr. WONG Hin Wing.

The Company further announces that Mr. JIANG Xuping retired as an independent non-executive director of the Company on the same date. Mr. JIANG Xuping has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board of the Company and that there is no matter in respect of his retirement that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders and creditors of the Company. During the tenure of office, Mr. JIANG Xuping performed his duties with diligence and dedication. The Board would like to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. JIANG Xuping for his contributions to the Company.
