Announcement on approval of Articles of Association by CBIRC

China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (the "Company" or "CPIC") hereby announces that, refer to the announcements dated 29 March 2021, 23 April 2021 and 28 May 2021, the resolution on amendments to the articles of association of the Company (the "Articles of Association") was considered and approved at the 2020 annual general meeting of the Company convened on 28 May 2021 (the "AGM") and necessary amendments were made to the Articles of Association based on the current circumstances of the Company. For details of the amendments, please refer to the announcement of the Company dated 29 March 2021.

The Company has recently received the "Approval of the Amendments to the Articles of Association of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd." (CBIRC Approval No. [2021] 721) issued by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (the "CBIRC"). The CBIRC has approved the amendments to the Articles of Association that were proposed and passed at the AGM.

The amended Articles of Association took effect on the date of approval by the CBIRC. The full text of the Articles of Association will shortly be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and be available for inspection at https://data.fca.org.uk/#/nsm/nationalstoragemechanism. A copy will also be available shortly on the Company's website at http://www.cpic.com.cn/gdr/gdrggen/.
