Announcement on approval of Articles of Association by CBIRC

China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (the "Company" or "CPIC") hereby announces that, in reference to the announcements dated 28 March 2022, 28 April 2022 and 8 June 2022, the resolution on amendments to the articles of association of the Company (the "Articles of Association") was considered and approved at the 2021 annual general meeting of the Company convened on 8 June 2022 (the "AGM") and the necessary amendments were made to the Articles of Association in accordance with the requirements of regulatory authorities. For details of the amendments, please refer to the announcement of the Company dated 28 March 2022.

The Company has recently received the "Approval of the Amendments to the Articles of Association of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd." (CBIRC Approval No. [2022] 542) issued by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (the "CBIRC"). The CBIRC has approved the amendments to the Articles of Association that were proposed and passed at the AGM.

The amended Articles of Association took effect on the date of approval by the CBIRC. The full text of the Articles of Association will shortly be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and be available for inspection at https://data.fca.org.uk/#/nsm/nationalstoragemechanism. A copy will also be available shortly on the Company's website at http://www.cpic.com.cn/gdr/gdrggen/.
