APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Central Rand Gold today is pleased to announce that on 19 September 2013, Mr Nathan Taylor, representing Redstone Capital Limited, was appointed to the Board of Directors of Central Rand Gold ("Board") as a Non-Executive Director.

Mr Taylor (age 32) has significant experience in establishing and managing mining companies. Mr Taylor currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Stonewall Resources Limited (ASX:SWJ), Kogi Iron Limited (ASX:KFE), Mandalong Resources Limited (ASX:MDD) and Torian Resources Limited (ASX:TNR). In addition, Mr Taylor brings to the Board significant mergers and acquisitions and capital markets experience having worked on numerous domestic and cross border transactions throughout his career. Mr Taylor started his career as a corporate lawyer for Blake Dawson before working for UBS AG and Macquarie Bank Limited in their equity capital markets division. Most recently, Mr Taylor was Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at BBY Limited.
