Thisfollows the appointment of Malcolm Coster as non-executive Chairman of Fiberwebannounced earlier this week. These appointments mark the progress being madetowards the planned demerger of Fiberweb in the last quarter of 2006. Simon was previously Deputy Group Finance Director at RAC plc, having beenActing Group Finance Director in 2003, where he built the finance team thathelped grow RAC's value significantly. Simon also held senior financial roles within BOC Group Plc, as Finance Directorof BOC Edwards and BOC Distribution Services. During his time at BOC Group Plc,Simon successfully prepared the equipment business ahead of its potentialseparation and re-shaped the regional finance functions into a global unit. Fromhis time at BOC Group Plc Simon gained valuable experience of working within aleading capital-intensive process industry, serving many large customers. Simon began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co where he trained as anaccountant.
