Mercury Group PLC28 November 2005 28 November 2005 MERCURY GROUP PLC APPOINTS MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR SMPA Property services group Mercury has appointed Andrew Hardy FRICS, as managingdirector of its SMPA (Smith Melzack Pepper Angliss) agency subsidiary. Andrew has over 30 years experience in the commercial property sector, workingand advising companies in the UK, Europe, Middle and Far East. During his careerhe had been a partner of Healey & Baker, Amsterdam, Jones Lang Wootton,Malaysia, a consultant to DTZ handling the Nike account based in theNetherlands, as well as European development director of Rush and Tomkins, anddirector of GSE International, based in Paris. Mercury chairman David Williams comments, "Andrew's appointment is an importantstep in managing the future growth plans we have for SMPA. The existingdirectors will remain very hands on while Andrew will concentrate on expandingthe facilities of SMPA, including integrating and offering the services ofsister Mercury companies, widening the existing agency base as well as searchingout further acquisition targets in the UK and Europe".
