Appointment & Retirement of Executive Directors

North Midland Construction PLC (the "Company"), the UK provider of civil engineering, building, mechanical and electrical services to public and private organisations, announces the appointment of a new executive director.

Daniel Adam Taylor, 31, is today appointed to the Board as Finance Director & Company Secretary. He currently holds no shares in the Company.

Commenting on the appointment Robert Moyle, Chairman of the Company, said "I am delighted to welcome Dan to the Board. I have been aware of his capabilities for several years. He is thorough and progressive and will be a significant presence in the Group for many years to come."

There are no disclosures to be made under Listing Rule 9.6.13 (1) to (6) in respect of Dan's appointment to the Board.

Michael Garratt, who joined the Group in 1983 and was appointed to the Board as Finance Director in 1984, has today retired from the Board as Finance Director & Company Secretary.

Robert Moyle said "Mike has made an immense contribution to the growth of the Group over the last 30 years and will be sorely missed. He has been totally dedicated and has provided sound financial guidance and wisdom. We all wish him a long, happy and well deserved retirement."
