Appointment of the new Chair
Following a rigorous selection process, the Board of the Housing & Care 21 ("HC21") resolved at its meeting held on May 25, 2018 that Mr Stephen Hughes will be appointed as the Chair of the Board with effect from September 28, 2018. Mr Hughes will succeed Lord Ben Stoneham, who will retire from the Board on that date.
Stephen Hughes has extensive local government experience and has held senior finance positions at Islington, Brent and Birmingham local governments. He was previously the Chief Executive of Birmingham City Council and most recently Interim Chief Executive of Bristol City Council. He currently serves as a non-executive director of HC21.
