Appointment of Senior Independent Director
H&T Group plc, the UK's largest pawnbroker and a leading retailer of high quality new and pre-owned jewellery and watches, announces that Toni Wood, current Non-Executive Director, has been appointed as the new Senior Independent Director.
Toni was appointed to the Board in May 2022 and has brought the benefits of her expertise in marketing, commercial and digital leadership through her experience in Retail, FMCG, Technology and E-commerce to the Board.
Toni succeeds James Thornton as Senior Independent Director who retired from the Board at the Company's AGM on 16 May 2024. Following her appointment, Toni will step down as Chair of the Remuneration Committee and will be replaced by Lawrence Guthrie, who was appointed to the Board in July 2023.
