APPOINTMENT OF PAUL VENABLES, NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Company is pleased to announce that Paul Venables will join the Wincanton Board as a non-executive Director and a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees with effect from 2 September.
Paul is currently Group Finance Director of Hays plc having previously worked for DHL, a division of Deutsche Post World Net. Prior to the acquisition of Exel plc by Deutsche Post, he was Deputy Group Finance Director and a member of the Executive Board of Exel plc. During 13 years with Exel he held a number of senior finance and operational roles including Finance Director of Exel's European and Global operations.
Paul replaces Philip Cox who leaves the Board at the end of today's AGM. Philip joined the Company shortly after its demerger in 2001. Philip notified his intention to leave Wincanton when he took up a non-executive Director position at Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC.
