Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Lighthouse Group plc (AIM: LGT), one of the UK's largest Independent Financial Advice and Wealth Management groups, announces the appointment of Mr. Alex Scott-Barrett as a non-executive director with effect from 11 June 2008.
Mr. Scott-Barrett, aged 53, holds a number of other directorships of public and private companies and charitable organisations. Listed company directorships include Northumbrian Water Group plc and General Capital Group plc. Until the recent sale of the company, Mr. Scott-Barrett was Chairman of Suffolk Life group plc, a life assurance group with a substantial SIPP business. A qualified chartered accountant, he has extensive asset management expertise following a lengthy career with the Cazenove Group of companies.
David Hickey, Chairman, commenting on the appointment said: "Alex brings considerable experience of a number of key business areas, particularly in relation to regulation, wealth management and pensions administration. I expect that his wealth of knowledge will contribute significantly to Lighthouse's strategic thinking and direction, and the Board joins me in welcoming him."
