Appointment of Non Executive Director
Aurora Russia Limited ("Aurora" or the "Company"), the AIM-quoted investment vehicle established to make equity or equity-related investments in small and mid-sized private companies in Russia, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Collinson Koch (age 62) as a Non Executive Director of the Company with effect from 14 August 2008.
Dan is currently the Chairman of Deloitte & Touche CIS ("Deloitte" or the "Firm") having held positions as CEO and Managing Partner of the CIS Firm. Dan has been resident in Russia for the past ten years. He has more than thirty years of public accounting and international executive experience. Under his leadership Deloitte has enjoyed a compound annual growth rate in revenues of 62 per cent. Over the last six years and during his tenure as CEO, the Firm's staff numbers grew from 150 to approaching 4000.
Dan has had overall responsibility for major clients of the firm including Norilsk Nickel, AFK Sistema and MTS.
Commenting on the appointment, Sir Trevor Chinn, Chairman of Aurora Russia Limited said:
