Appointment of Non-Executive Director

26 January 2015 WINCANTON PLC ("the Company") Appointment of Non-Executive Director Wincanton plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Paul Dean as anIndependent Non-Executive director of the Company effective from 1st February2015. Mr Dean will also be appointed as a member of the Company's Audit,Nomination and Remuneration committees. It is envisaged that Mr Dean will chairthe Audit Committee in due course. Mr Dean is currently a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chairman ofPolypipe Group plc, Focusrite Plc and Porvair Plc, where he was also appointedas the Senior Independent Director in April 2014. He is also a Trustee andChair of the Finance and Audit Committee for a national literacy charity,Beanstalk. Mr Dean was previously Chief Financial Officer of Rio Tinto Diamonds during2013, and prior to that was Group Finance Director of Ultra ElectronicsHoldings plc from 2009 to 2013 and Foseco plc from 2001 to 2008.
