Appointment of Non-Executive Director- Lynn Krige

U and I Group Plc (U+I), the leading property regeneration company, announces that the Board has appointed Lynn Krige as an Independent Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit and Risk Committee with effect from today, 10th March 2016. The Board also announces that Sarah Bates, the Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, will be stepping down as a Non-Executive Director following the Company's Annual General Meeting ('AGM') on 14th July 2016 due to her commitments elsewhere. Lynn will replace Sarah as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and as a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committees following the 2016 AGM. Nick Thomlinson will take over from Sarah as Senior Independent Director following Sarah's departure from the Board.

Lynn brings with her a wealth of experience from across the construction, infrastructure, investment and B2B services sectors. With over 25 years' experience, she is currently CFO at British Engineering Services Limited and has previously held executive roles at Speedy Hire Plc and John Laing plc, originally qualifying with Deloitte in South Africa. Lynn is currently a member of the Audit Committee at The Imperial War Museum.

Lynn's appointment follows that of Chairman designate, Peter Williams, in January 2016, and comes at a time of strategic refocus for U+I. Specialising in best-in-class mixed-use regeneration, U+I is focussed on delivering value by transforming undervalued land and assets into productive places. The management team is now executing a number of strategic initiatives to drive increased value from across the business, with a specific focus on larger regeneration opportunities in the London City region, Manchester and Dublin.

David Jenkins, Chairman, said: "We are delighted to welcome Lynn to the board whose breadth of experience across a range of business sectors will support and benefit the Group. The Board would also like to thank Sarah, whose knowledge and insight has provided an excellent contribution to the Company over the last six years."
