Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Shawbrook Group PLC ("Shawbrook" or "the Company" or "the Group") today announces the appointment of David Gagie as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 January 2016.

David is currently a Senior Advisor to the Financial Conduct Authority but will step down from this role prior to joining Shawbrook. David Gagie is a non-executive director of Payzone and a director of MyWorkSearch. Earlier in his career, David was an Advisory Board Director of ING Direct, Managing Director of Consumer Lending & Current Accounts at Lloyds Bank, Chairman of Mastercard UK and a Director of Visa UK and Link Ltd.

Iain Cornish, Chairman, commented: "I am delighted that David is joining the Board of Shawbrook. He brings extensive banking, financial services and regulatory experience and he will make a major contribution to the continued success of the Group."

There is no information to be disclosed pursuant to LR 9.6.13R in respect of David Gagie. As at the date of this announcement, David has no beneficial interests in the ordinary shares of the Company.
