Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Flybe, Europe's largest regional airline, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Kappler as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

David is Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director at Shire plc and a director of a number of private companies. David has previously served as a Non-Executive Director at InterContinental Hotels Group, Premier Foods, HMV and Camelot. Before this, he was CFO at Cadbury Schweppes and is a qualified accountant.

David will join the Audit, Remuneration, and Nomination Committees.

After 9 years of service, Charlie Scott has announced his intention to step down from the Board at the Annual general meeting in July this year. After an induction period, David Kappler will take on the roles of Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee from Charlie.

We are now nearing the end of the period of renewing the Board, which leaves Flybe well placed to face the future."
