Shawbrook Group PLC ("Shawbrook" or "the Company" or "the Group") today announces the appointment of Andrew Didham as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 February 2017. As part of his responsibilities Andrew will Chair the Board Audit Committee and join the Board Risk Committee.

Andrew Didham is currently an Executive Vice-Chairman for Rothschild, a position he has held since 2012 following his previous role as Group Finance Director, which he held since 1997. Andrew is a non-executive director of Charles Stanley PLC and its principal operating company Charles Stanley & Co Ltd. A qualified accountant, prior to joining Rothschild Andrew enjoyed a successful career at KPMG, becoming partner in 1990 specialising in financial services.

There is no information to be disclosed pursuant to LR 9.6.13R in respect of Andrew Didham. As at the date of this announcement, Andrew has no beneficial interests in the ordinary shares of the Company.
