Appointment of Non-executive Director

The Sage Group plc ("Sage") is pleased to announce the appointment of Cath Keers to its Board as a Non-executive Director with effect from 1 July 2017. Ms Keers will join the Remuneration Committee.

Ms Keers started her retail career with Thorn EMI and, after marketing and business development roles at Sky TV, Avon and Next, joined the BT Group in 1996, holding a number of commercial roles, including Marketing Director O2, Chairman of Tesco Mobile and Customer Director O2. Ms Keers is a non-executive director of the Royal Mail group, TalkTalk Telecom Group plc and Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society Limited (LV=) and is the Chairman of Ustwo; digital product and games studio. Ms Keers was a non-executive director of Home Retail Group Limited from September 2011 to September 2016.

Commenting on the appointment, Donald Brydon, Chairman, said: "I am delighted that Cath is joining the Sage Board. Cath brings a wealth of digital and customer experience and we believe she will bring some excellent insight to the board."

There are no further disclosures required for the purposes of Listing Rule 9.6.13.
