Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Travis Perkins plc ("the company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Ruth Anderson as a non-executive director on 24 October 2011. Ms Anderson is a Chartered Accountant and held a number of positions with KPMG (UK) from 1976 to 2009, being a member of its Board from 1998 to 2004 and Vice Chair from 2005 to 2009. She is also a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee of Ocado plc. On appointment, she will join the company's audit committee.

Robert Walker, Chairman of Travis Perkins, commented:-

Ms Anderson does not hold any shares in the company.
