COBHAM APPOINTS MICHAEL HAGEE NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Cobham plc (Cobham) announces the appointment of General (retired) Michael W. Hagee as a non-executive director with effect from 3 December 2008. General Hagee retired from the US Marine Corps in January 2007 following a distinguished 39 year military career.
General Hagee's command assignments included Commanding General of the 1st Marine Division and of the I Marine Expeditionary Force. He served as Marine Commandant from January 2003 through November 2006. His staff assignments included serving as Senior Military Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of Defense; Executive Assistant to the Director of Central Intelligence; Deputy Director of Operations, Headquarters, of the U.S. European Command; and Director Strategic Plans and Policy, U.S. Pacific Command.
David Turner, Cobham Chairman commented:

Cobham confirms that there are no further disclosures to be made under rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.

Michael W. Hagee
General Hagee graduated with distinction from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He also holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He is a graduate of the Command and Staff College and the U.S. Naval War College. General Hagee is a director of Rackable Systems.
His personal decorations include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal with two palms, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit with two Gold Stars, Bronze Star with Combat "V", Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with one Gold Star, Navy Achievement Medal with one Gold Star, the Combat Action Ribbon, and the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal.
