Appointment of Mr. Hezekiah Sola Oyinlola as a Non - Executive Director of Guaranty Trust Bank plc.

Lagos Nigeria - June 25, 2014: Mr. Hezekiah Sola Oyinlola has been appointed as a Non - Executive Director of Guaranty Trust Bank plc.

Mr. Oyinlola replaces Mrs Stella Okoli on the Bank's Board of Directors following her recent retirement.

Mr. Oyinlola is a seasoned professional with over thirty years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, having worked at Schlumberger Group since 1984. He has held multiple senior roles on the management team and was the first Nigerian Managing Director of Schlumberger Group in Nigeria. In 2011 Mr. Oyinlola was appointed to his current position as Chairman of Africa Schlumberger Group.

Mr. Oyinlola's appointment has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria in compliance with the highest level of corporate governance standards.
