Appointment of Roland Sackers as Non-Executive Director

Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings plc (AIM: IDH), a leading producer of specialist diagnostic testing kits for the clinical and research markets, announces the appointment of Mr Roland Sackers as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee. The appointment will take effect on 1 June 2011.

Roland is Chief Financial Officer and a Managing Director of QIAGEN N.V ("QIAGEN"), a world leader in sample and assay technologies that enable access to valuable molecular information from any biological sample. QIAGEN, which is a Dutch company, has revenues of over $1,000 million and more than 3,500 employees.

Roland is an auditor by training, and began his career in 1995 with Arthur Andersen with a focus on technology and biotech companies. He joined QIAGEN in 1999 and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2004. Between 2005 and 2007, Roland headed the expansion of QIAGEN's business in North America which today accounts for approximately 50 per cent of the group's overall sales.

From 2002 to 2006, Roland was a member of the board of directors of IBS AG, a software systems and consulting services business in Germany, and helped to list IBS on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Until 2007, Roland was a board member of Operon Biotechnologies Inc., a supplier of DNA and RNA oligonucleotides which was acquired by Eurofins.
