Appointment of Non-executive Director

Low & Bonar PLC ("Low & Bonar" or the "Group"), the international performance materials group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Powell as a non-executive director with effect from 1 December 2016. Like all of the Company's non-executive directors, he will be a member of each of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration committees.

Mike Powell is Group Finance Director of BBA Aviation plc, a provider of global aviation support and aftermarket services. From 2011 to 2014 he was chief financial officer of AZ Electronic Materials, a FTSE 250 company with international reach. Prior to this Mike was group finance director of Nippon Sheet Glass Co Limited, having previously spent 15 years at Pilkington plc in a variety of senior finance roles.
