Appointment of Non-Executive Director

KBC is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Taylor as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 24 May 2013.

Paul Taylor is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and served as Group Finance Director of AVEVA Group plc between March 2001 and January 2010. AVEVA has been one of the world's leading engineering software providers to the plant, power and marine industries for over 45 years and, during his tenure as Finance Director, the company saw rapid growth to become a FTSE250 business.

Paul originally joined AVEVA Group in 1989 and was heavily involved in its flotation process as well as taking responsibility for its UK accounting and the development of its overseas subsidiaries. Between 1998 and 2001 he was also UK Director of Human Resources.

Before joining AVEVA Paul trained within the accountancy profession before moving to Philips Telecommunications (UK).

Paul was a recipient of the FTSE250 Finance Director of the Year award in 2008.

In addition to the experience Paul earned while at AVEVA, he has also gained significant knowledge of other software and technology businesses through his current non-executive directorships of Anite plc, Digital Barriers plc, Ubisense Group plc and Escher Group Holdings plc.

Paul will serve on the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination committees of KBC Advanced Technologies plc.
