Appointment of Gerry Murphy as Non-Executive Director

Capital & Regional, the convenience and community focused shopping centre REIT, announces the appointment of Gerry Murphy as a Non-Executive Director, effective from today. Gerry will join the Audit, Nominations and Remuneration Committees.

Gerry will subsequently take over as Audit Committee chairman from Ian Krieger, effective from the Company's Annual General Meeting scheduled for 3 June 2024, at which Ian will stand down from the Board, having served his full nine-year term as an Independent Director of the Company.

Gerry is currently a Non-Executive Director of Currys PLC and was previously Senior Independent Director of Capital & Counties Properties PLC. Gerry is also a Non-Executive board member of the Department of Health and Social Care, chairs its Audit and Risk Committee and is a co-opted member of the NHS England Audit and Risk assurance committee. He is a former Deloitte LLP partner and was a member of the Deloitte board and chairman of its audit committee. Prior to that, Gerry was also chairman of the Audit and Assurance Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
