Appointment of Non Executive Director

HMV Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of David Adams as a Non Executive Director from 1st June 2012.

David brings a wealth of retail experience to the HMV Board having held senior executive roles at Burton Group, Texas Homecare, Asprey and House of Fraser, and Non Executive Chair roles at Alexon and Moss Bros. Most recently David was Chairman of Jessops.

David's current non-executive roles include Halfords and JJB Sports, where he is also chairman of the audit committee.

David will chair HMV's Audit Committee, replacing Christopher Rogers who will retire from the Board after 6 years at the end of June.

Apart from the directorships noted above and the prepack administration of Alexon PLC and Whittard's of Chelsea Limited, there is no other information to be disclosed pursuant to LR9.6.13R in respect of this directorship.
