Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Cambian Group plc ("Cambian") is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Brinsmead as Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. He will also be the Senior Independent Director. Mr Brinsmead, 55, will join the Board on 1 July.

Mr Brinsmead has considerable experience in the life sciences sector. He has held numerous senior positions in his 20 year career at AstraZeneca, including CEO of Astra Zeneca UK and most recently Chairman of AstraZeneca UK, where he was responsible for developing relationships between AstraZeneca and the UK Government. Additionally, he was President of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.

Mr Brinsmead is a Non-Executive Director of Domino Printing Sciences PLC (a FTSE 250 company), UDG Healthcare plc and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee at the Wesleyan Assurance Society, as well as Chairman or Non-Executive Director of several private companies in the healthcare sector. He is also Life Sciences Business Advisor to the UK Government which involves working with the life sciences industry, the NHS and academia to provide independent advice to the Government on the sector.

An engineering graduate from Nottingham University, Mr Brinsmead has a M.Sc from Manchester University and a MBA from Manchester Business School.

There is no other information to disclose relating to Chris Brinsmead under Rule 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules in addition to the current and previous directorships listed above.
