Appointment of non-executive director

Paul Heiden appointed Meggitt non-executive director

Meggitt PLC, the international aerospace, defence and electronics group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Heiden as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect.

Paul, who is a chartered accountant, was Chief Executive of FKI Plc from 2003 to 2008; having previously held a number of senior positions, including Director, Industrial Business and Finance Director of Rolls-Royce plc and senior financial positions with Peat Marwick, Mitchell and Co, Hanson Plc and Mercury Communications. He is also Chairman of Talaris Topco Limited and a non-executive director of UU Plc, where he is Chairman of the audit and treasury committees, having previously held non-executive director positions at Bunzl plc and Filtrona plc.

There are no further disclosures required in respect of Paul Heiden under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
